Possessing What’s Yours
Armed, Dangerous, and Chilled Out
LIFE GROUP QUESTIONS
1. Joshua 1:3 says, “I will give you every place where you set your foot…”. This means we must “set our foot” in the promises God has for us. Pastor Steven illustrated the flip side of this by sitting in a chair “waiting” on God to give the promises instead of acting. How did that illustration help you see this truth? What does “setting your foot” look like for the promises God has for you in your life right now.
2. We must be armed and “ready for battle”. Are you trying to fight with only one “spiritual weapon” (Word, worship, prayer, faith, etc.) instead of being well-rounded? Which area of your spiritual life needs strengthening? How do you plan to grow in that area?
3. God commands Joshua to be strong and courageous—and not crack under pressure. What pressure are you currently under that’s testing your trust in God?
4. Pastor Steven stated that there is no junior Holy Spirit & there is no retired Holy Spirit. How will this truth encourage your life in God moving forward?
